Welcome to St. Joseph of Arimathea American National Catholic Church. Our journey began in New Haven in October 2006. Since our founding, we have grown in both size and spirit, creating a vibrant and inclusive community.

As an Independent Catholic Church, we offer an alternative for those seeking a more inclusive Catholic experience. For too long, many have felt excluded from fully experiencing their faith. At St. Joe’s, we strive to provide the sacraments to all of God’s people, regardless of creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or social condition.

Our church was founded on the principles of social change and advocacy, giving a voice to the voiceless. We actively engage in social outreach and ministry, believing that actions speak louder than words. Our commitment is to live out our faith as Catholic Christians through tangible acts of love and service.

St. Joseph of Arimathea is a diverse congregation made up of people from all walks of life. No matter where you find yourself on life’s journey, our parish community welcomes you in the spirit of Jesus, who came for all.
