“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

by Rev. Matthew Bailey, FCM on July 31, 2025

Lord, when did we see you hungry?

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:40

At St. Joe's, we understand that worship is not limited to prayer and song. It is lived out in service, compassion, and acts of mercy that reflect the heart of God. Our recent Christmas in July initiative was a beautiful example of that truth.

Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, so many tags placed on the Christmas tree in the narthex were claimed. Gifts were returned thoughtfully and lovingly, creating a visible sign of our parish’s commitment to serving those in need. These items will go directly to the unhoused men and women served by the Beth El Center, offering not just warmth and comfort, but also dignity and hope.

We thank every person who participated in this mission. Whether you selected a tag, provided a gift, encouraged others, or prayed for the success of the project, your contribution made a difference. Your response was a true reflection of our call to worship our Creator in spirit and in truth.

May we continue to grow in love and service, bearing witness to the Gospel in both word and deed.
