Another Successful Thanksgiving Collection.

St. Joseph of Arimathea American National Catholic Church is grateful to share the results of our recent collection to support families at Achievement First Amistad High School in New Haven. The school is a public charter school that serves a diverse community, and our parish has long sought to accompany these families with respect and care during the Thanksgiving season.

Several years ago, the parish moved away from collecting food items and shifted toward providing gift cards. This decision reflects our recognition that families celebrate in many different ways. A traditional item for one household may carry no meaning for another. By offering gift cards to Stop & Shop and Target, we provide families with the ability to choose what will best serve their own tables and traditions. This approach honors cultural diversity and allows each family to give thanks in the manner most appropriate to them.

Through the generosity of our parishioners, we were able to donate nearly six hundred dollars in funds for this year’s effort. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed. Your kindness continues to reflect the mission of our community and the spirit of the American National Catholic Church.
